Justin Davis, Attorney at LawMr. Davis began his legal career as a law clerk for Chief Judge Sidney S. Eagles of the North Carolina Court of Appeals from 2001 to 2002.  He then served as an Assistant District Attorney in Mecklenburg County from 2002 until 2006.  Since then, Mr. Davis has been in private practice and has focused his work in the areas of premises liability defense, general civil and business litigation, dram shop liability defense, alcoholic beverage control law, motor vehicle liability, personal injury, appellate practice, and media, communications, and First Amendment law.  He has conducted seminars on premises liability law and presented continuing legal education on North Carolina alcoholic beverage control law and dram shop litigation.  

Mr. Davis has handled cases in North Carolina Superior and District Court, in the United States District Court for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, and has argued cases before the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.  Mr. Davis is also admitted to practice in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a certified mediator.  He is affiliated with the Gaston County Bar, is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, and belongs to the North Carolina Bar Association.  

Mr. Davis graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2001 from the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.  

In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Davis is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Belmont, NC.  He is presently the chair of the Safe Sanctuaries Committee, Lay Delegate to the Annual Conference of Western North Carolina Conference, and also serves on Administrative Council, Finance Committee, and the Staff Parish Relations Committee.  Mr. Davis coaches youth soccer and baseball for Belmont Parks and Recreation and the YMCA.  He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte.  Mr. Davis is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and water skiing.
