Jesse V. Bone, Jr., Attorney At LawJesse graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982.  He earned a Master of Divinity from Duke University in 1986.  After graduating from Duke University, he served as  the Associate Minister at Epworth United Methodist Church in Durham, NC from 1986 until 1988.  He then entered law school at Wake Forest University, receiving a Juris Doctor degree in 1991.  Upon graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law, he joined Mullen Holland & Cooper P.A.

Jesse is dedicated to serving individuals with special needs.  He enjoys working with families with special needs children to help implement long term plans that in most cases include a Third Party Supplemental Needs Trust.  He also works with plaintiff’s  attorneys in the establishment of Self-Settled Special Needs Trusts to help their disabled clients preserve settlement  funds and qualify for governmental benefits. 

Jesse also focuses on helping  individuals and couples with estate  planning, Medicaid planning and helping them to preserve their estates.  Jesse and his team also help individuals qualify for Medicaid and other government benefits, including Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance.  He serves on the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association Elder Law and Special Needs Section.  He is a member of the Gaston County and North Carolina Bar Associations and the North Carolina State Bar. 

Jesse is a certified N.C. Superior Court Mediator.  He not only has extensive experience in mediating cases, but also  in litigating  workers’ compensation cases.  His  experience as a certified Mediator and in litigating workers’ compensation cases aids him in assisting persons who need to protect litigation settlements with a Self-Settled Special Needs  Trust.

Jesse is married to Robyn, who completed a M.Ed. at N.C. State University in Special Education.  She has worked with exceptional children at New Hope Elementary as a resource teacher since 1991.

Leslie Lancaster, Paralegal

Leslie earned a B.S.  from the University of Tennessee and continued her education at Tennessee, completing a M.S.  in Audiology.  Leslie’s  work in the speech and hearing field included work in a state agency that provided medical services to children.  She then entered the field of property management with Crescent Resources, L.L.C.  She furthered her education,  earning a M.A. in Communications at Queens College.  Her education and work experience  are an asset to her work as a Paralegal focused on Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Medicaid Planning.

 

Anne Buchanan, Medicaid Specialist Paralegal

Anne earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has both the knowledge and experience to help people receive the benefits they deserve.  She serves as the firm’s Medicaid Specialist Paralegal and has worked for the Department of Social Services in North and South Carolina, helping adults and children with special needs in procuring benefits.  Anne is passionate about helping people find resources, obtain benefits and plan for the future.
